Local

Since our membership is made up of local neighbors, residents and businesspersons, the Palm Springs Democratic Club also focuses on local issues specific to the city of Palm Springs.  We supported successful democratic candidates in the 2007 local elections and 2008 general elections.

Some local issues continue to be of particular interest to PSDC:

• Balancing preservation of natural resources with appropriate development.
• Maintaining our overall quality of life.
• Working with local resources to reduce crime, drug trafficking and homelessness.
• Maintaining our property values.
• Encouraging the real estate, tourism, wellness and resort/recreation industries that are the lifeblood of Palm Springs.
• Ensuring equality of all citizens.

These and other matters are always open for discussion at our monthly meetings/social events.
