Recent Endorsements

The Palm Springs Demcratic Club has recommended the state Democratic party backs Greg Pettis for the 80th [Assembly District].  The San Diego/Imperial County Central Labor Council executive board also backs Pettis.

The Palm Springs Democratic Club and Stonewall Democrats will host a "primary party" Tuesday to watch the Texas and Ohio primaries.  The party starts at 5 p.m. at Look Patio Restaurant, 139 E. Andreas Road.

Democrats: Don't expect a quiet 2008

The Palm Springs Democratic Club announced its 2008 leadership this year. And one thing is very clear: they won't sit by idly during this year's elections.

Co-chairman David Pye pledged "to take a very vocal role in this year's elections." And officials italicized "active and vocal" in the membership description in the news release.

Rounding out the board: co-chairs Pye and Sandy Eldridge; vice chair for political action Rob Simmons; vice chair for fundraising Bob Mahlowitz; treasurer Ron Siegel; secretary Peter East; and committee chairs Bob Thomas, Palm Springs councilman Rick Hutcheson, Steve Bolerjack and Lisa Arbelaez.
